The Region of Murcia organised its dissemination meeting on the 24 November, held online and under the title ”Abordando la integración de inmigrantes y refugiados en la Región de Murcia” (Addressing the Integration of Migrants and Refugees in the Region of Murcia).
The event presented the project with the intervention of European and regional actors such as José Ramón Bauzá Díaz (MEP), Antonio Sánchez Lorente (Secretary-General of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy from the Region of Murcia), María Teresa Muñoz Ibáñez (Head of the Voluntary Social Work, Emigration and Return Service from the Region of Murcia) and representants of the civil society, migrant communities and local administration with Juan Antonio Segura Lucas, Mady Cisse Ba and José Luís Ortega Cañavate.
In addition, the Executive Director of CPMR, Davide Strangis, and the two regional experts that are working on the results and methodology used in the study of regional MIPEX-R indicators, shared as well enriching insights on the project and its methods.
The meeting attracted a lot of attention. Around 80 people attended the event that aimed to present the tools that will be developed under the project and the added value they can offer to key regional stakeholders and discuss the challenges and opportunities of integration in the Region.
The Region of Murcia is currently planning the Stakeholders’ Capacity-Building event, foreseen for February, and another one for the Training of Regional Staff.
