REGIN Project Final Conference

The Final Conference of the REGIN Project – Regions for Migrants and Refugees Integration – took place on-line on the mornings of 23 and 24 February.

On the morning of 23 February (9.45-12.30 CET) a high-level session included:

  • keynote speeches from European Commissioner Ylva Johansson (video address), Annika Annerby Jansson, Chair of the CPMR Migration Task Force & President of Region Skåne,
  • testimonies from REGIN regional partners and
  • a panel discussion addressing the role of regions in vertical and horizontal coordination in delivering policies and actions to foster migrants’ integration and inclusion.

The morning of 24 February (9.30-13.00 CET) was dedicated to practitioners and include three thematic sessions:

  • Ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of regional integration actions: keys for success;
  • REGIN Indicators, gaps revealed and future prospects for use of MIPEX-R at European level;
  • Methodologies for building a regional ecosystem for sustainable integration and inclusion support.

The event was addressed to regional and local authorities, diverse territorial stakeholders involved in migrant and refugee integration, national public authorities, EU institutions, international organisations, academia and the media.
